You have heard the old saying: "Dog is man's best friend". Greater truths have been said, but, hey, this is a pretty good truth!
With that in mind, let me put a bit of a Father's Day spin on this one and give you the June 2006 Edition of the Heavenly Top Ten, which is the:
Top Ten Reasons Dogs are Dad's Best Friends
- Dogs can be blamed as a source for all unknown sounds, oders, and stains!
- Your dog fetches, but your wife?—yeah right!
- Dogs don't care if you "put a shirt on for company"!
- Dogs always greet you with tail wagging. Kids greet you with their hand out!
- Dogs take care of all snacking residue!
- A "beware of dog" sign, while not as frightening, looks better than the truth — beware of children!
- After a long day at work, who else is going to lick between your toes?
- With a dog, no one is going to blame you for shedding!
- Your can train your dog, but your kids are an entirely different matter!
- and the number one reason why dogs are dad's best friend is:
- Taking your dog for a walk, with bag in hand, gives the rest of your life perspective!
