Some people, Christians included, would even state that Christmas is beyond redemption (Christians probably wouldn't say it that way, but you get the idea!). Well, never fear with tongue painfully poised in cheek, I pledge to keep the Christmas critics at bay and save the day, OK? Top Ten Reasons For Keeping Christmas Alive
- Without Christmas, the candied fruit market would collapse!
- Without Christmas, our slow, uneventful lives would have no stress whatsoever!
- Without Christmas, barking dogs wouldn't have a music career!
- Without Christmas, Santa would only be a really weird fat guy with poor fashion sense!
- Without Christmas, there would be no Christmas bonuses!
- Without Christmas, you'd have to waste money buying all your own underwear and socks!
- Without Christmas, your cat would never know the joy of coughing up tinsel!
- Without Christmas, December would feel a lot like February!
- Without Christmas, Eggnog becomes just a disgusting beverage!
- And the number one reason for keeping Christmas alive is:
- Without Christmas, there would BE no Easter! — That means there would also be: no hope, no forgiveness, no victory over the grave. If that's the case, then the TRUE meaning of Christmas is certainly something worth celebrating!
