“I love to see your eyes dance with joy as you get ready to "unwrap" this gift.”
I love Christmas time. I love the potential in the air. I love wrapped gifts under the tree, and the smell of a Christmas tree in the house. I love to go outside when its snowing and see the flakes in the light of the streetlights, dancing their worship to God.
I love Christmas time. I love to sit with others as we sing the familiar carols. I love to join with friends and share warmth and time, to sing and laugh and just be there. I love to worship our God, who gave us a gift of eternal love in the Word Incarnate, Jesus, His Son.
I love you. I love to tell you about the gift that God has sent you, I love to see your eyes dance with joy as you get ready to "unwrap" this gift. I love to pray with you and sing with you and read with you. I love to worship God with you. I love to say Merry Christmas to you and laugh because we both know what it really means.
I love my children. I love to see their faces as we read the Scripture and they hear a message two thousand years old, that was made just for them to hear. I love to see my son smile at the thoughts of Bethlehem. I love to see my daughter as she considers Mary and her Child.
I love my wife. I love to hear her voice as she sings "Glory to God, Glory in the Highest". I love the sound of her voice as she reads of God's Promise fulfilled here on Earth - of a family that was more than just a family. I love to see her as she wraps gifts, and as she laughs at the way I wrap mine. I love to see her smile at the kids when they are handing her their gifts.
I love you. Merry Christmas.
